Pursuant to discussions over the past several months with the Employment and Training Administration and the Regional WIRED Grantees and subrecipients, the attached West Alabama -East Mississippi Sustainability Plan has been developed to continue many of the WIRED activities beyond the expiration of the WIRED Grant on January 31, 2010. The partnership formed between the States of Alabama and Mississippi to help address major economic issues in the 18 counties in Alabama and 19 counties in Mississippi has been very successful due to the utilization of WI RED Grant funds.
